Refund policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Faulty or Malfunctioning Items

  • Within 30 Days: If a fault occurs within 30 days of purchase, Dell Online will provide support in accordance with the manufacturer's policy. All return costs will be borne by Dell Online.
  • After 30 Days: For faults occurring beyond 30 days of purchase, support will be provided according to the manufacturer's policy, with return costs borne by you.

Incorrectly Purchased or Delivered Items

  • Unwanted or Incorrectly Ordered Items: Items that are incorrectly ordered, unwanted, or not as expected may be returned within 14 days of purchase, provided they are sealed and unused. A courier fee and a 15% handling fee will apply.
  • Incorrectly Delivered Items: You must notify us within 14 days. Incorrectly delivered items can be returned within 14 days of purchase at no cost to you, provided they are in their original condition and packaging. For the fastest service, inspect goods upon delivery and reject any incorrect items, and we will resend the correct goods.
  • Extended Warranties: Extended warranties are non-returnable and non-transferable, as they are activated upon purchase and linked to the specific device purchased.

Return Process

  • Online: Log your return here online now. Self-service, quick, and easy.
  • Contact Us: Email support@dellonline.co.za or call +27 11 082 5900 to initiate a return.
  • Follow Instructions: An agent will contact you to guide you based on the nature of your return.
  • Packaging: For faulty or malfunctioning items, ensure they are in their original packaging with all accessories and documentation.
  • Courier Costs: For returns after 30 days or for incorrectly ordered items, courier charges will be based on item size and location.

To start a return, contact us at support@dellonline.co.za. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain items, such as software downloads, cannot be returned. Please contact us if you have questions about your specific item. Sale items and gift cards are also non-returnable.

Cooling-Off Period and Refund Procedure (up to 7 days after purchase)

We offer a 7-day cooling-off period for orders, allowing you to cancel your order without reason or penalty within 7 days of receiving your item, subject to the following conditions:

  • The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging.
  • If the product has been opened or used and requires repackaging or refurbishment to restore it to its original condition, we reserve the right to deduct reasonable repackaging or restoration costs from any refund due.
  • If the product cannot reasonably be restored to its original condition, we reserve the right to decline the return.

Cooling-Off Cancellation Process:

  • To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing via email within the 7-day period.
  • We will acknowledge the cancellation within two (2) business days.
  • You must return any goods received in a condition suitable for resale within seven (7) days of the cancellation notice.


Exchanges

The fastest way to get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and inform you if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Note that it may take time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
